THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
As a relational psychodynamic therapist, I am deeply committed to cultivating a meaningful and unique relationship with each of my clients. I believe that through authentic, compassionate dialogue, we can explore the ways past experiences and relationships shape who we are today. My approach is centered on co-creating a supportive space where you feel seen and can express yourself freely. Together, we will work to uncover patterns, explore emotions, and build a deeper connection with yourself and others, fostering growth and healing along the way. And, I hope to infuse some fun and laughter as we go :)
I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Washington, drawn to the field by its strong emphasis on social justice and the profound impact of systems on individuals and communities. My clinical approach is grounded in understanding each person within the broader context of their environment, and I believe this systems-oriented perspective is essential for meaningful and effective treatment.
For the past eight years, I have worked in community mental health, providing intensive, in-home wraparound services to youth and their families in King County. I also have extensive experience in crisis intervention and stabilization, including conducting assessments for hospitalization and helping families navigate and access long-term support services.
I deeply value continuing education and professional growth. I have received advanced training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and have integrated nature-based approaches into my clinical work. Currently, I am engaged in intensive Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy training through Natural Lifemanship and look forward to incorporating horses into my therapeutic practice beginning in 2026.
In addition to regularly participating in trainings and researching best practices, I am actively engaged in my own therapeutic process and regularly consult with other therapists, both of which deepen and inform my clinical practice.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
OUTSIDE OF THERAPY
In my free time, I can be found out at the barn frolicking with horses and teaching riding lessons, snuggled up with my wonderfully chaotic dog watching documentaries and WNBA games or beginning (and probably not finishing) yet another art or home project.
“Little cauldron, little tender loon.
Take comfort in your bold heart
where hope and fear are mingling.”
