Equine Assisted Psychotherapy *
*Anticipating having equine sessions beginning in 2026!
Equine-assisted psychotherapy is a unique, experiential form of therapy that involves working with horses in a therapeutic setting—often from the ground, not necessarily through riding. In partnership with a licensed therapist and an equine specialist, clients engage in activities with horses that help explore emotions, develop insight, and support healing.
Horses are incredibly intuitive and responsive to nonverbal communication, which can offer powerful reflections of our internal experiences. Through interacting with them—whether grooming, leading, observing, or simply being near them—you may notice emotions, patterns, or relational dynamics emerge in ways that feel honest, immediate, and embodied.
This kind of therapy can be especially helpful if you:
Struggle to connect through traditional talk therapy
Feel stuck in patterns that are hard to name
Are healing from trauma, anxiety, or grief
Want to explore boundaries, trust, and relationship in a new way
Feel grounded and open when you're in nature or with animals
No prior experience with horses is needed. Sessions are designed to feel safe, supportive, and collaborative—for both you and the horse.
